Patient Flow Manager Job Description

The Patient Flow Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless patient flow management within the facility. This involves coordinating and facilitating patient flow strategies to improve the delivery and timeliness of access to care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and facilitate patient flow strategies to improve access to care.
  • Provide leadership and inspire staff to reach their full potential.
  • Uphold the vision of compassionate care and lead effective work cultures that transform patient and staff experience.
  • Support service development, oversight of practices, trends, and indicators, and drive ongoing improvement in operational processes and clinical outcomes.
  • Foster relationships with executive teams, clinical managers, peers, and district managers to achieve organizational goals.

Requirements:

  • A current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD.
  • Demonstrated leadership as a resource person and role model in the clinical setting.
  • Effective, person-centered communication and the ability to establish and promote collaborative relationships.
  • An Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2).
