Civil Infrastructure Technician

This is a challenging role that requires the individual to operate and maintain plant machinery, oversee and implement pipe-laying, manage traffic control operations, and coordinate site personnel and subcontractors.

The position involves working on construction sites, which may include weekends or public holidays. However, the candidate will be compensated accordingly for their extra effort.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operate plant machinery safely and productively, performing daily maintenance and cleaning tasks.
  • Lead the laying of pipes for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains.
  • Set up, manage, and remove temporary traffic control schemes.
  • Supervise and coordinate site personnel and subcontractors, reporting relevant site activities and ensuring quality work.
  • Implement and follow health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, candidates must have the following qualifications and experience:

  • AQF Certificate III qualification or equivalent.
  • 3 years of relevant work experience (or at least 1 year with a certificate).
  • Good physical fitness and ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment in all weather conditions.
  • Strong teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail.
