About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Ship Maintenance Technician to join our team at Transdev Sydney Ferries. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vessels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of vessels, including docking and maintenance activities
  • Contribute to the general yard clean up and organization
  • Interact with trade staff and contractors to ensure smooth operations
  • Respond to breakdown maintenance as required
  • Support the team in ensuring works are completed safely and within expected time constraints

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar environment, preferably in the marine industry
  • Exposure or qualifications in forklift operation, working at height, confined space, and elevator work platform
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with colleagues and contractors
  • Willingness to learn from peers and contribute to the team's common goal of providing a safe and enjoyable journey for our customers
