About the Project

The New Intercity Fleet (NIF) project is a significant undertaking by Transport for NSW, involving the design, build, and maintenance of 554 train carriages. This project will enhance the transportation network, connecting Sydney to the Central Coast, Newcastle, the South Coast, the Blue Mountains, and Lithgow.

UGL is responsible for the maintenance and whole-of-life asset management of the 554 new carriages for 15 years, ensuring they remain in optimal condition for passengers. Our maintenance and asset management operations are based at a state-of-the-art facility in Kangy Angy on the Central Coast.

About the Role

We are seeking skilled Electrical Maintenance Technicians to join our team at the Kangy Angy maintenance facility. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on our fleet of train carriages. Your expertise in electrical systems, fault finding, and diagnostics will be essential in ensuring the reliability and safety of our trains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical maintenance tasks on train carriages, including testing and commissioning
  • Conduct fault finding and diagnostics to identify and rectify electrical issues
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner
  • Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to achieve project goals
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of electrical systems and technologies

About You

  • Experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a rail or transportation environment
