About Motorway and Tunnel Operations Leadership

We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as a Motorway and Tunnel Operations Leader. This is a temporary opportunity up to 24 months.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of motorway and tunnel operations controllers to meet performance objectives and improve outcomes for our customers.

This role involves working in the Transport Management Centre, ensuring appropriate incident and congestion management responses are implemented by the Motorways Management System (MMS) and other traffic management systems.

This is a full-time position based at our Eveleigh office, Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate will have experience in finding complex technological solutions and creating seamless operations that result in efficiency for millions of customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of motorway and tunnel operations controllers to meet performance objectives and improve outcomes for our customers.
  • Evaluate and implement effective incident and congestion management responses using MMS and other traffic management systems.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Demonstrated experience, knowledge, and understanding of traffic management and smart motorways.
  • Experience in operating MMS, Sydney Coordinated Adaptive Traffic System (SCATS), and Smart Road Management System (SRMS) will be highly desirable.
