**About the team**
The Infrastructure and Place division is in the process of delivering a once-in-a generation multi-billion program of public infrastructure works which will ease congestion, improve safety, create new places and connect communities for generations to come. **The opportunity**
The Motorways Systems Manager will manage the end-to-end systems delivery throughout the whole asset lifecycle of the large motorway programs during development, delivery and upgrades of existing motorways and road tunnels to achieve TfNSW and Government road safety, asset management and network efficiency objectives.
As the Systems Manager (ITS) your responsibility include the development of relevant TfNSW standards, specifications and Scope of Works and Technical Criteria (SWTC) for Motorway projects. These Electrical and Mechanical Control and Operational Technology (OT) systems manage safe road network operations, integration of new motorway operators into the motorway systems federation, deployment of new technologies and the use of motorway performance and analytics to deliver optimal outcomes.
This includes the technical management and delivery of Electrical, Control system works (including ITS) for any Projects during design and construction through to completion. This includes ensuring the project works are delivered in accordance with time, cost, quality and scope requirements to meet Government and TfNSW objectives.
Key accountabilities include - Managing the team in the development of TfNSW standards and technical criteria for motorway and road tunnel control systems
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary stakeholders to achieve common business objectives using systems engineering and systems safety assurance principles
- Ensuring that the control systems and electrical/mechanical systems of motorway projects are implemented, operated, and maintained to time, cost, quality and scope requirements of Projects and Clients
- Developing collaborative relationships between the motorway operators, government, private developers and other stakeholders and facilitate effective resolution of issues and information exchange to meet customer expectations
- Managing and coordinating Motorway projects strategies, technical and business expertise for new motorway developments, including Concept of Operations
- Monitoring and reviewing the designs and methods of implementation of control systems and electrical/mechanical equipment for compliance with the technical criteria, WHS and other technical and operational project requirements.
**About you**
- Engineering degree from an Australian University or equivalent overseas qualification. Preferable Electrical or related.
- Experienced in technical and commercial management and delivery of Operational Technology (OT) for complex multi-disciplinary transport projects and preferably road tunnel projects
- Demonstrated experience in managing multiple and complex OT/ICT integration projects across a diverse range of stakeholders and systems
- High level communication skills with the ability to deal tactfully, effectively and resolve issues with people / other parties at all levels and demonstrated capability to develop flexible and workable solutions to meet customer expectations
- Ability to develop and maintain positive and collaborative client relationships and ensure the delivery of a consistent, efficient and high-quality service
- Sound project management experience in managing and driving strategic programs managing multiple concurrent projects to achieve key business outcomes
- Co-ordinated and lead a range of system reviews and transformational improvement projects
