This program offers hands-on experience supporting the Prime Minister, Cabinet, Portfolio Ministers, and Assistant Ministers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply skills to policy design and implementation projects.
  • Provide advice on Cabinet Exemptions to documents discovered in Freedom of Information requests.
  • Work on key legal policy areas including anti-corruption, administrative law, constitutional reform, Royal Commissions, family law, human rights, and privacy law.
Requirements

To be eligible, you must have completed your university degree within the last eight years or be in your final year of study.

You must be willing to relocate to Canberra and be an Australian citizen. Police, character, and health checks are also required.
