Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist participants to achieve their identified objectives through personalized strategies.
  • Develop and implement tailored programs for each individual client to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and adapt interventions as necessary.
  • Facilitate client engagement and empowerment through supportive relationships.
  • Identify potential risks and mitigate them in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Cultivate effective communication with clients, their families, and management team members.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to daily task lists.
  • Notify management promptly of any incidents or issues that may arise.
  • Participate in scheduled training and meetings to enhance professional development.
  • Support clients in managing their medications according to organizational guidelines.
  • Pursue routine administrative duties, including filing, recording, checking, and balancing accounts, invoices, orders, and store requisitions.
  • Provide personal care assistance to clients, including but not limited to assistance with continence aids, showering, toileting, and grooming.
  • Aid clients in maintaining their homes, encompassing all aspects of domestic duties.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Working with Vulnerable People Certificate.
  • Possess a current National Police Certificate.
  • Hold a valid Drivers' Licence.
  • Have a current First Aid certificate.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Tasmanian Disability Services Act 2012 and the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013.
  • Complete the NDIS Core Module.

Work Environment:

The role will involve working within Supported Independent Living settings, at client residences, and in community contexts as required.
