Job Title: Fitter General - VIC

Our client, Seville Tractors Pty Ltd, is a leading manufacturer of agricultural equipment located in the heart of the Yarra Valley, approximately 1 hour drive from the Melbourne CBD.

We are seeking skilled Fitter Generals to join our team. As a Fitter General, you will be responsible for maintaining diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Workshop repairs and maintenance
  • New machine pre-delivery preparation and inspection
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Safety / Quality
  • Cross-functional support

Main Responsibilities:

  • Fault finding, repairs, and services including but not limited to:
  • Diesel and petrol engines
  • Diesel, petrol, and LPG fuel systems
  • Steering systems
  • Transmissions – hydrostatic, powershift, and manual
  • Brake systems
  • Hydraulic valves and cylinders
  • Electrical starting, charging, and accessories
  • Service and diagnostic repairs
  • Liaise with spare parts team to determine parts required for repairs
  • Complete repair and services within reasonable time frames
  • Process workshop service/repair documentation on a daily basis
  • Work in a safe manner, use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided, and comply with requirements of the current Occupational Safety and Health (OS&H) legislation
