Job Title: Fitters (General) - VIC

We are seeking skilled Fitters Generals to join our team in VIC. As a Fitter General, you will be responsible for maintaining diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Workshop repairs and maintenance
  • New machine pre-delivery preparation and inspection
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Safety / Quality
  • Cross-functional support
Main Responsibilities:
  • Fault finding, repairs, and services including:
  • Diesel and petrol engines
  • Diesel, petrol, and LPG fuel systems
  • Steering systems
  • Transmissions – hydrostatic, powershift, and manual
  • Brake systems
  • Hydraulic valves and cylinders
  • Electrical starting, charging, and accessories
  • Service and diagnostic repairs
  • Liaise with spare parts team to determine parts required for repairs
  • Complete repair and services within reasonable time frames
  • Process workshop service/repair documentation on a daily basis
  • Work in a safe manner, use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided, and comply with requirements of the current Occupational Safety and Health (OS&H) legislation
Requirements:
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship and customer-focused
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Warm personality and open-minded
  • Self-motivated
  • Good technical background experience
  • Hard worker, practical personality
  • Solid analyzing and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical problems
  • Good team spirit, experience working in a small team is an advantage
  • Person who wants to participate strongly in the development of a growing business
