Job Overview

Kennedy Reid is seeking an experienced Senior Claims Assessor to join our team in the Life Insurance division. As a Senior Claims Assessor, you will be responsible for managing a reduced portfolio of Group TPD & IP claims, executing key projects and reviews, mentoring and training a team of Claims Assessors, and acting as a reference point for technical or escalated claims.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and assess a reduced portfolio of Group TPD & IP claims in the lump sum team
  • Execute key projects and reviews to drive business growth and improvement
  • Mentor and train a team of Claims Assessors to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively
  • Act as a reference point for technical or escalated claims, providing guidance and support to colleagues as needed
  • Sign off on large-sum claim decisions, ensuring that they are fair and in line with company policies
  • Liaise with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure that claims are processed efficiently and effectively
  • Initiate claims investigations to identify and resolve issues promptly

About You

You will also need to be self-sufficient and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

  • Currently working as a Senior Claims Assessor within Life Insurance
  • Strong technical understanding of the Life Insurance market and products
  • Self-sufficient and self-motivated
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to provide guidance and direction to teams and individuals
