Job Overview
Kennedy Reid is seeking an experienced Senior Claims Assessor to join our team in the Life Insurance division. As a Senior Claims Assessor, you will be responsible for managing a reduced portfolio of Group TPD & IP claims, executing key projects and reviews, mentoring and training a team of Claims Assessors, and acting as a reference point for technical or escalated claims.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and assess a reduced portfolio of Group TPD & IP claims in the lump sum team
- Execute key projects and reviews to drive business growth and improvement
- Mentor and train a team of Claims Assessors to develop their skills and knowledge
- Act as a reference point for technical or escalated claims, providing guidance and support to colleagues
- Sign off on large-sum claim decisions, ensuring accuracy and fairness
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
- Initiate claims investigations to identify and resolve issues promptly
