Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Cairns, Australia. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with experience in heavy machinery repair and maintenance.

Job Description:

As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex issues on Caterpillar equipment. You will work with new state-of-the-art machinery and have the opportunity to learn from experienced technicians.

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Engineering and Mechanical or similar qualifications, as well as knowledge of engine reconditioning and rebuilds. Experience working with Caterpillar Diagnostic Systems or similar systems is also desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues on Caterpillar equipment
  • Work with new state-of-the-art machinery and learn from experienced technicians
  • Repair, maintain, and service key CAT machinery and components
  • Use Caterpillar Diagnostic Systems (ET Vims, SIMSi, and SIS)
  • Perform diagnostic assessments on mining, general construction, and power generation equipment
  • Work as part of a skilled and driven team
Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Engineering and Mechanical or similar qualifications
  • Knowledge of engine reconditioning and rebuilds
  • Demonstrated service and repair experience on heavy machinery
  • Experience on Caterpillar Diagnostic Systems or similar systems
