Diesel Fitter/Mechanic – Cairns Branch

Flexihire is a leading equipment rental business in FNQ and we are currently expanding our Cairns Branch and are looking for experienced trade qualified diesel fitter or similar to join our busy team.

About the role

  • Full time position in a busy equipment rental branch repairing and maintaining the rental fleet
  • Lots of Variety - Repair and Maintenance on a wide range of equipment types
  • Workshop and Field work as required

To Succeed

To succeed in this role the main attributes we are looking for are energy and a willingness to supply quality equipment back into the fleet. In addition to this the following items are also required:

  • Proven mechanical troubleshooting acumen
  • Mechanical trade qualification Cert III or equivalent
  • Upbeat nature and willingness to roll up your sleeves
  • An understanding of industrial equipment with both diesel and petrol engines
  • Adopt and comply with a high level of safe work culture within our company
  • Forklift licence desirable but not essential
  • Current drivers licence essential
  • Experience with compaction and earthmoving equipment highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills & team spirit
  • Well Presented
