Risk and Compliance Manager for Business Continuity

Job Overview
TAL is seeking an experienced Risk and Compliance Manager to join our team in driving the improvement and maintenance of our Business Continuity capabilities.
About the Role
This 12-month Fixed Term Contract will involve working closely with key representatives across the business to enhance TAL's Business Impact Analysis and Business Continuity Plan documentation.
You will be responsible for assisting in the development of process maps, identifying dependencies and other relationships to people, processes, systems, and third parties.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Australian Prudential Regulatory Authority (APRA) and the requirements outlined within the CPS 230 Prudential Standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and refinement of potential disruption scenarios relevant to TAL's business to inform workaround/recovery strategies.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify and document interdependencies and impact tolerance levels.
- Develop and maintain Business Continuity practices to ensure alignment with APRA requirements.
- Serve as a liaison between Business Continuity and Crisis Management teams, ensuring effective information sharing and stakeholder engagement.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of Business Continuity, Resilience Management Frameworks, and internal control frameworks.
- Business analysis skills, including process mapping and dependency identification.
- Proven stakeholder management, influencing, and negotiating skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to lead and challenge team members in scenario-based disruption test exercises.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage high-stress activities.
- Familiarity with life insurance industry practices.
What We Offer
As a Risk and Compliance Manager at TAL, you can expect a competitive salary of approximately $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
