Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Nutrition and Dietetics

This is a full-time continuing role based at the Camperdown campus. The Faculty of Medicine and Health, University of Sydney seeks a suitably qualified Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Nutrition and Dietetics with experience in medical nutrition therapy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake independent teaching and apply research to enhance educational practices and outcomes-specifically teaching postgraduate students in nutrition and dietetics and supervision of the 10 weeks clinical dietetics placement program.
  • Conduct original research independently or as part of a team, focusing on publication, conference presentations, and securing research funding.
  • Engage in high-quality teaching experiences which meet the university's expectations and standards for education including delivery of lectures, seminars, tutorials online and in person.
  • Develop innovative teaching approaches and evaluate effectiveness for continuous improvement.
  • Carry out governance tasks and contribute to faculty meetings.
  • Contribute to a positive workplace culture in which diversity, collaboration, excellence and achieving outcomes are valued and enabled.
  • Understand and contribute to furthering the strategic agenda.
  • Build a professional profile through participation in conferences, seminars and outreach activities.

Additional responsibilities include providing leadership that has a significant impact on teaching, innovation, curriculum development, research training and supervision within the school or faculty, coordinating staff activities and providing training and mentorship to less experienced lecturers, establishing partnerships and engaging in translational research for impactful outcomes.
