Job Title: Renewable Project Leader

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering utility-scale renewable projects from conception to financial close, with a strong understanding of the Australian market and relevant policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of utility-scale renewable projects from inception to commercial operation, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Identify potential greenfield sites for renewable project development, conduct feasibility studies, and assess site suitability based on technical, environmental, and regulatory considerations.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with local communities, government agencies, landowners, and other stakeholders to ensure project success and obtain necessary permits and approvals.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, budgeting, and scheduling, to guide the successful execution of each development phase.
  • Work closely with regulatory bodies and consultants to navigate the permitting process, ensure compliance with environmental regulations, and secure necessary approvals for project development.
  • Conduct financial modelling, including project valuation, cost analysis, and revenue projections, to evaluate the economic viability of greenfield projects and support decision-making.
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, environmental specialists, legal advisors, and consultants, to achieve project milestones and objectives.
  • Identify project risks and develop effective strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the successful delivery of projects within the established timelines and budget.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental sciences, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and delivering utility-scale renewable projects, preferably in the Australian market.
  • Strong knowledge of the renewable energy industry, including an understanding of solar, wind, and energy storage technologies, as well as relevant policies and regulations.
  • Excellent project management skills with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Sound financial acumen and experience in financial modelling and project valuation.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups and build strong relationships.
  • Knowledge of environmental impact assessments, permitting processes, and regulatory requirements related to renewable energy projects in Western Australia.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, work independently, and make informed decisions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
