Job Role

Support Workers are sought to provide assistance to a diverse range of clients in their own homes, promoting client choice and positive routines. This role will involve assisting with activities of daily living and providing support services such as domestic assistance, social support, respite and personal care.

The successful candidate will be proactive in supporting clients to enhance their life choices both at home and in the community. They will also be responsible for reporting changes in client health, care plans or if additional services are needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote Client Choice and positive routines ensuring they are meaningful to the client
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living and provide support services such as domestic assistance, social support, respite and personal care
  • Report changes in client's health, care plans or if additional services are needed
  • Review regularly communications received via email and other communication methods to ensure current knowledge of policies and procedures
  • Take reasonable care of your own health and safety and the health and safety of others within the workplace
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Under completion of a minimum of Certificate III in Individualised Support, Home & Community Services, Aged Care or equivalent
  • Current full drivers licence
  • Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate & CPR
  • Reliable motor vehicle including valid registration & comprehensive third party insurance
  • Smart mobile phone or device
  • NDIS Clearance (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Police Clearance (within 6 months or willingness to obtain one)
  • Access to the internet and experience using a computer, systems and applications
