IFYS Ltd is seeking a skilled and compassionate Senior Therapeutic Case Worker to join our team at our Caboolture Youth Crisis Accommodation program.
This is a unique opportunity to work with a longstanding and supportive team who have over 12 years' experience in this program.
The Youth Crisis Accommodation program provides young people aged 16 to 25 experiencing homelessness with access to support for a 3-month duration.
As a Senior Therapeutic Case Worker, you will be responsible for engaging with young people, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment, and providing individualized support plans to meet their needs and goals.
You will also be required to assist young people to develop new living skills and participate in the community of their choice, while maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the shelter.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong client-centered practice framework, sound knowledge of local services and resources, and experience conducting intake assessments and delivering case management.

Responsibilities:
- Engage with young people and ensure a safe and therapeutic environment
- Conduct intake and initial assessments with young people requesting accommodation and support
- Create individualized support plans with young people to meet their needs and goals
- Assist young people to develop new living skills and participate in the community of their choice
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shelter
- Complete administrative tasks in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Experience working with people exhibiting challenging behaviors and complex needs
- A go-getter attitude with the ability to adapt to changing situations and remain calm in the face of a crisis
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly, especially with young people
- Ability to work active nights across a variety of days
- Qualifications in or currently studying Youth work, Mental Health, Community Services, Human Services or Social Work highly desirable
Must hold or be willing to obtain:
- Valid Queensland driver's license with no restrictions
- QLD Working with Children Check (Paid Blue Card)
- Licensed Care Suitability Check (LCS2)
- National Crime Check
