Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our multidisciplinary team at Safe Space Caboolture. As a key member of our team, you will provide focused psychological strategies tailored to meet the individual needs of adults and families accessing our service within a community-based mental health care setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-standard assessments, psychological, counselling, and therapeutic interventions
  • Opportunities to run group programs
  • Liaise and work with internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
  • Must have one of the following: General AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Mental Health Occupational Therapist, Counsellor with ACA/PACFA registration, or AASW registration as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker
  • Ideally 3 years' experience working in peer-led services, comfortable with crisis response and suicidal presentation
  • Well-developed judgment and evaluation skills demonstrating a working understanding of assessment and care planning
  • Sound understanding of the public, non-government, and private mental health systems and programs and associated non-mental health programs in a community setting
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills showing an ability and sensitivity to work with people who have or are at risk of developing a mental illness
  • Proven ability to work creatively, collaboratively, and effectively as a member of a team
  • Demonstrated skills in organisation and time-management, including the ability to work under pressure and balance multiple tasks
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
  • Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a Blue Card
  • Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance

  • 2 x Permanent, part-time opportunity available (42 hours per fortnight, made up of 3 working days one week and 4 working days the next week in the overall fortnight)
