We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Road Maintenance Supervisor to join our Routine Maintenance Bitumen team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising a Patching Crew and ensuring the efficient maintenance of potholes within the Ipswich City Council maintained road network.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and provide instruction to staff to enable skilled minor construction and maintenance of roads and drainage assets
- Plan, acquire and utilise all material and resources to ensure tasks and projects are delivered efficiently
- Ensure all machinery and equipment is maintained
- Show leadership in the workplace, develop work teams and individuals, promote team effectiveness and manage effective workplace relationships
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current "C" Class Driver's Licence
- Experience in road maintenance activities
- General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) card
- Current Medium Rigid (MR) Licence (desirable)
This is a permanent full-time Local Government Employee Certified Agreement Level 7-9 position with a salary commencing at $68,344 plus superannuation of up to 12.5%. You will enjoy a range of benefits, including:
