Berry Street is seeking a skilled HR/Payroll Officer to join our People and Culture team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate running of our fortnightly payrolls, as well as administering and maintaining our payroll system.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain accurate payroll records, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Process payroll, including calculating salaries, bonuses, and other benefits.
- Administer and maintain our payroll system, including iChris and EmpLive.
- Respond to employee queries and provide support and guidance as needed.
- Collaborate with the HR Support and Payroll teams to ensure seamless communication and information flow.
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with previous experience in payroll functions, including superannuation, general ledger, and chart of accounts. You should be confident in your ability to work with computerized payroll and rostering systems, and have a strong understanding of award interpretation and application of entitlements.
You will be an enthusiastic and proactive team player, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and other regions. If you are passionate about supporting our employees and helping them provide the best outcomes for the children and young people we support, we want to hear from you
