We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Farm Business Economist to lead our key farm business economics initiatives. As a key member of our Research and Innovation team, you will provide analytical and interpretative capabilities to Dairy Australia, contributing to the improvement of the industry's knowledge and understanding of farm business economics in Australia.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the delivery of the Dairy Farm Monitor Project across all dairy regions, overseeing DairyBase (the industry's database for farm physical, financial, and carbon emissions data), and representing Australia in the International Farm Comparison Network (IFCN).
You will also be responsible for building partnerships to enhance both the Dairy Farm Monitor Project and DairyBase, driving, building, and maintaining relationships across Dairy Australia and with key external stakeholders.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate with a strong technical background in agricultural economics, agricultural business, or a related field, preferably at a post-graduate level. You will have a strong understanding of economic principles and risk management products relevant to the agricultural sector.
You will be a key member of our team, working collaboratively with our experts to deliver projects aligned to our strategic aims. Your ability to consider innovative ways for change will be valued.
