Senior Farm Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Farm Manager to join our client's dynamic team in Carisbrook, Victoria. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our poultry farm, ensuring the welfare of the livestock, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Assistant Farm Managers to maintain optimal living conditions and ensure the welfare of the poultry livestock.
  • Manage and coordinate staff tasks to build a cohesive team environment.
  • Plan feed and gas usage to optimize resource efficiency.
  • Monitor shed conditions to support bird welfare and performance.
  • Provide daily reports to maintain transparency and operational efficiency.
  • Address maintenance issues promptly and effectively.
  • Manage subcontractors responsible for key maintenance tasks.
  • Respond swiftly to farm alarms to ensure the safety of the flocks.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000, plus superannuation.

Requirements:
  • Extensive experience managing broiler farms or intensive indoor livestock operations, with a focus on growth rates.
  • Skills in managing, rostering, and leading farm staff.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • A valid driver's licence.
  • Physical fitness to thrive in a dynamic farm environment.
  • Full Australian working rights.
