Job Opportunity

YMCA Gabbinbar Outside School Hours Care is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Assistant Coordinator to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Service Coordinator with daily operations, management of Educators and administrative tasks.
  • Support staff management, ensuring compliance with policy and undertaking required duties.
  • Develop high-quality programs that reflect real-world experiences and home settings.
  • Work collaboratively with families and the school community to foster a sense of community amongst children, facilitate leadership skill development, and provide a supported and caring environment for social skills practice.
Requirements
  • Completed or actively studying relevant qualifications in Childcare or Teaching (Minimum Diploma in Children Services).
  • Demonstrated experience in programming and a passion for delivering quality childcare.
  • Excellent customer service skills, verbal and written communication skills, and First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Certificate of Suitability to work with Children and Young People (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain.
About The Role

As an Assistant Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our service. You will be responsible for assisting the Service Coordinator with various tasks, managing a team of Educators, and developing quality programs that meet the needs of our children.
