Job Title:

Purchasing Expeditor is a dynamic role that requires an individual to oversee the procurement process and ensure timely delivery of materials. The Purchasing Expeditor plays a vital part in maintaining business operations across multiple sites.

  • We track purchase orders, manage deliveries, and follow up on overdue items to support critical maintenance activities and the procure-to-pay process.
  • We collaborate with internal stakeholders across supply, logistics, finance, and site-based teams to drive efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness across purchasing activities.

This position demands strong time management and prioritisation skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Expedite parts for planned maintenance events and site shutdowns
  • Monitor and follow up on overdue purchase orders
  • Track and confirm overnight deliveries to remote sites
  • Manage backordered parts to ensure timely supply
  • Coordinate invoice queries with the wider finance team
  • Produce and distribute reports to support purchasing and logistics functions
  • Develop and refine reporting processes to improve the procure-to-pay cycle
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2+ years' experience in supply chain, purchasing, or logistics
  • Background using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JDE (desirable)
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • A high level of attention to detail and problem-solving capability
  • Completion of Year 12 secondary education (or equivalent)
  • Further studies or training in supply chain highly regarded
