About the Role
We are seeking talented Senior Civil Engineers experienced in delivering water infrastructure solutions to join our high-performing Water Division in Wollongong, NSW.
In this position, you will play a key role amongst a diverse group of highly skilled professionals who design with community in mind to deliver program and project excellence for our water clients in both metropolitan, regional, and remote contexts.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Coordination
- Plan, program, and coordinate specific projects with the Project Manager to deliver agreed outputs on budget, on time, and to quality standards.
- Manage and assist in civil engineering, design management, and project management from planning, feasibility/concept design, detailed design, and construction support of water and wastewater infrastructure as lead or member of a larger team.
- Perform broad, varied, and diverse water and wastewater infrastructure engineering design tasks, including engineering drawings, engineering reports, presentations, and required applications to regulatory and/or funding agencies.
- Engage in the development of conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats, and prepare documentation in various civil phases, including site plans, utility plan/profiles, grading plans, cross sections, diagrams, submittal reviews, and response to information requests as required.
Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus attractive benefits, including genuine flexible working arrangements, learning and talent development programs, purchasing up to four weeks additional leave, professional registration and memberships, salary continuance insurance, and more.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering – Civil or Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
- Chartership/RPEQ or working towards is highly regarded.
- Relevant professional experience in consulting or engineering within the water industry.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment plants.
- Strong technical experience in potable water supply, gravity and pumped sewerage systems, and recycled water networks.
- Experience in water and wastewater treatment plants for regional and urban water authorities (highly desirable but not essential).
- Expertise with dealing with a range of clients and stakeholders, including local authorities, government bodies, and commercial companies.
