Grounds and Garden Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Professional with a strong background in Grounds and Garden Maintenance to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in performing a wide range of grounds and garden maintenance tasks, managing, mentoring and training a group of young trainees, leading by example and fostering a sense of independence and wellbeing, ensuring contract specifications and scheduling requirements are being met, maintaining tools and equipment, and promoting a positive Workplace Health and Safety culture.

  • The successful applicant will possess a recognised industry/trade qualification (preferred), excellent communication skills to build relationships with our trainees and customers, a current white card and first aid certificate or ability to obtain.

This role involves working across sites in Bundaberg undertaking construction and conservation projects. The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  1. performing a wide range of grounds and garden maintenance tasks
  2. managing, mentoring and training a group of young trainees
  3. leading by example and fostering a sense of independence and wellbeing
  4. ensuring contract specifications and scheduling requirements are being met
  5. maintaining tools and equipment
  6. promoting a positive Workplace Health and Safety culture and ensuring active compliance
