Location: Bundaberg area

  • Full time hours
  • $43.18ph + Super

Our government client is seeking Laborers to work with their cemetery team, performing a wide range of maintenance, repairs, and improvement activities specific to cemetery operations. The typical work hours are 6.30am - 3.30pm, Monday to Friday (9-day fortnight).

The main duties include:

  • Horticultural activities including - gardening, vegetation pruning, tree trimming, planting, irrigation installation and maintenance, landscaping, weeding, fertilizing, treating pests and weeds.
  • Operating various small mechanical plant such as mowers, brush cutters, hedge trimmers, blowers, spray equipment, rotary hoes, and chainsaws.
  • Assist as needed with grave digging and backfilling.
  • Undertaking general cemetery operation tasks including monumental works, locating/marking out graves.

To be successful you will require:

  • Previous experience or transferable skills
  • White Card
  • Herbicide Operator ticket (ACDC)
  • Chainsaw ticket
  • MR Licence desirable
  • White Card
  • Class C Drivers Licence
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Physically fit for manual labouring work

This assignment is expected to run for 3 months but has the potential to be extended.
