Nurse Care Manager

About the Role- You will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, ensuring that all needs are met and that patients receive high-quality treatment.
- You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to oversee the coordination and supervision of care delivered by junior staff and students.
The ideal candidate will have a registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, demonstrating ability to use initiative, reliability, and requiring minimal supervision and guidance.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee total patient care, ensuring all needs are met.
- Stay aware of patients' needs, conditions, and progress.
- Maintain regular contact with patients throughout the shift.
- Involve patients in their own care and decision-making.
- Ensure accurate documentation using nursing history, care plans, and/or care pathways.
- Consult with doctors when necessary to ensure medical treatment requests are carried out and documented properly.
- Plan and execute nursing activities in an organized manner.
- Maintain and improve technical skills, such as ECG interpretation and intravenous cannula insertion.
