Senior Financial Analyst - Cost Control and Reporting Specialist
">Overview of the RoleThis is a dynamic role that involves managing project cost control, providing financial insights, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring financial accuracy. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining budgets, forecasts, and comprehensive reports to monitor project performance.
">Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level support to the Finance team and collaboration with Project and Scheduling teams.
- Analysis of Cost and Schedule performance, communicate financial insights and project status to internal and external stakeholders.
- Development and maintenance of project budgets and forecasts in conjunction with cost account managers.
- Develop and maintain financial models, comprehensive reports and dashboards to monitor project performance.
- Ensure financial compliance and accuracy in collaboration with project teams.
- Support the month end process with the required journals and reconciliations, including all required reporting.
- Support estimating and pricing activities.
- Recognizing areas for continuous improvement as well as participation in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Training and mentoring of other staff within the team.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or commerce, or equivalent experience. They must have advanced Excel skills, expertise in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, PowerPivot, and dashboard management. A proven ability to adapt to different situations, prioritize tasks autonomously, and manage financial aspects of diverse projects is essential. Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders are also necessary.
