Job Description

A key opportunity exists for a Finance Compliance Specialist to contribute to the organization's commitment to robust financial governance. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by ensuring compliance and supporting transformation.

The selected candidate will be part of a forward-thinking team dedicated to sustainable economic prosperity and continuous improvement. The position is available on a 3-month contract basis with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the department's commitment to robust financial governance by reviewing compliance frameworks, guiding colleagues, leveraging digital skills to enhance knowledge repositories, coordinating training material reviews, designing online workflows, and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders to consult on issues and contribute to reports.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in financial analysis or compliance roles within large organizations or government.
  • Technical proficiency with digital tools to drive process improvements.
  • Collaborative spirit, clear communication skills, empathy, and attention to detail are essential.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and a commitment to ethical practice are required.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial data, identify improvements, and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and policies in public sector finance.
