Role Summary

The Senior Cabinet Liaison Officer plays a pivotal role in providing expert advice to executive and Treasury ministerial offices, ensuring timely involvement in Cabinet and Committees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure high-quality advice flows from subject matter experts to executive and Treasury ministerial offices, fostering seamless collaboration.
  • Support Treasury's board appointments and Executive Council processes, upholding the highest standards of governance.
  • Coordinate timely advice on Cabinet processes, planning, risk management, stakeholder management, and efficient execution, driving impactful outcomes.
  • Proactively build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, enhancing effective communication, collaboration, and advocacy for improved delivery of NSW Government outcomes.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated understanding of Cabinet processes, government functions, and activities, as well as machinery of government, underpinning informed decision-making.
  • High level of organisation, with ability to plan and manage work processes involving multiple stakeholders, anticipating needs, identifying, and mitigating issues in a fast-paced environment.
