Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced project manager to lead multidisciplinary design projects primarily through the Estate Works Program (EWP) Contract.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing EWP projects and portfolios across the Defence Estate in Victoria. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with internal project teams and industry delivery partners to deliver high-quality results on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Project Delivery: Ensure high quality standards and timely completion of EWP projects.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster a culture of collaboration and open communication with internal teams and industry partners.
  • Risk Management: Proactively manage issues, drive decision-making, and lead resolution pathways to achieve project goals.
  • Safety and Security: Evaluate and mitigate risks for our Defence clients, ensuring their safety and security.
  • Techinical Assurance: Manage technical and quality assurance activities relating to design and safety analysis of Defence infrastructure.
  • Mentorship: Provide mentorship and guidance to staff seeking to develop their knowledge and experience in delivering major infrastructure projects.
About You:
  • Relevant Experience: Relevant experience leading project delivery in building services, infrastructure, refurbishment, civil, or maritime fields, with Defence experience preferred.
  • Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications relevant to project management or engineering disciplines desirable.
  • Citizenship: Citizen of Australia and ability to achieve current baseline security clearance.
