Disability Support Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced professional to provide high-quality support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and participate in their local community.

This role involves providing day-to-day support, personal care, and personal development to our clients. Shifts will vary in length, location, and requirements, depending on client needs.

  • Personal care: assistance with mobility, personal hygiene, toileting, eating, and drinking
  • High-intensity care: behavioural difficulties, PEG feeding, bowel care, wound care
  • Medication administration, supervision, and management
  • Social, recreational, community access: shopping, running errands, social activities, fitness
  • Transportation: to and from appointments, work, social events/activities
  • Home care: general domestic tasks, maintenance, gardening
  • Employment assistance
About the Position:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support to individuals with diverse needs, promoting their autonomy and participation in their communities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with daily living tasks, such as mobility and personal care
  • Providing high-intensity care services, including behavioural support and medication management
  • Supporting clients to access social, recreational, and community activities
  • Transporting clients to appointments, work, and social events
  • Conducting home visits to provide general domestic support and maintenance
  • Assisting clients with employment-related tasks
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current First Aid and CPR certificate
  • A current National Police Check
  • A current Working with Children Check
  • A valid Australian Driver's License
  • A reliable vehicle with Comprehensive Car Insurance
  • A current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Fully vaccinated against Covid-19
  • The right to work in Australia
