Team Leader, Refugee and Asylum Seeker Services

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to oversee the coordination of our refugee and asylum seeker services. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering high-quality programs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of our refugee and asylum seeker services. This will involve:

  • Coordinating and monitoring caseloads;
  • Providing day-to-day practice supervision support and guidance to staff;
  • Contributing to the development of funding proposals and service models;
  • Supervising and coaching direct reports to support them in achieving their goals;
  • Undertaking and completing all reporting requirements in a timely and accurate manner;
  • Developing and reviewing documents required to articulate and support service delivery;

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services or Community Development;
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of health, social or community services, particularly alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment and/or with culturally and linguistically diverse clients and communities;
  • Demonstrated experience in providing professional supervision to client-facing staff in the delivery of human services programs;
  • Demonstrated experience in working with standards and certification requirements;
  • A strong understanding of various theoretical frameworks and intervention strategies, including working with children, young people and families.
