Medical Secretary Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organised individual to join a supportive team environment.

  • Provide medical secretarial support to the Rehabilitation Physician and Orthopaedic Surgeon.
  • Assist other members of the administration team.

As part of our efficient and friendly administration team, you will be working alongside Exercise Physiologists and Physiotherapists in a collaborative patient-centred environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training provided where required to support the following duties:
  • Liaise with healthcare providers.
  • Welcome and build relationships with clients and patients ensuring a professional and friendly disposition.
  • Manage clinician diaries, booking appointments, and handle patient enquiries.
  • Seek treatment approvals from third parties (e.g. insurers) and update systems accordingly.
  • Communicate with multiple stakeholders including clients, insurers, doctors, and allied health professionals.
  • Complete general medical reception and administration duties including data entry, incoming phone calls and emails, scanning, filing, and preparing patient files.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Able to quickly build relationships: Build rapport with patients, clients, and stakeholders of all ages and backgrounds.
  • An excellent communicator: Confident liaising with patients, clients, and stakeholders in person, by phone, and email in an engaging and professional manner.
  • Organised and detail-oriented: Diligent with exceptional time management and organisational skills and an understanding of privacy and confidentiality requirements.
  • Technically capable: Trained to use Microsoft Office, booking systems, and willing to learn practice-specific software.
  • Customer service focused: With a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Experience: Previous experience helpful, though not required. We will provide training.
