About the Role

Austin Health is seeking an experienced pharmacist to lead our clinical pharmacy services for the Liver Transplant Service as part of the Australian Centre for Transplant Excellence and Research (ACTER).

As a key member of the ACTER team, you will be responsible for establishing, directing, planning, providing, and reviewing clinical pharmacy services. This role requires collaboration with the Kidney Transplant Pharmacist to leverage efficiencies in pharmacy service provision.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to excellence in patient care, and a keen interest in developing their skillset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with multidisciplinary teams across Austin Health;
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve pharmacy services, patient outcomes, and staff engagement;
  • Provide expert clinical advice on medications, treatments, and other healthcare-related matters;
  • Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines related to pharmacy practice;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify areas for quality improvement and implement changes;
