Job Overview

As a Community Support Specialist, you will work with clients to help them achieve their goals and increase their independence and participation in the community. The role involves providing support to individuals with disability and/or psychosocial needs, enabling them to manage daily living tasks. This includes taking clients on social outings and activities, servicing clients at their homes, and promoting positive behaviors.

About the Role

This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic team environment where we strive for excellence in client outcomes. You will be responsible for liaising with clients' families and representatives as required, and ensuring that our services are tailored to meet individual needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing support to clients with daily living tasks, including personal care and household duties
  • Assisting clients with medication administration and monitoring
  • Developing and implementing personalized plans to support clients' goals and aspirations
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and National Police Clearance (within the last 12 months)
  • Proof of working rights - Passport or visa
  • Valid West Australian driver's license and a reliable vehicle
  • Working With Children Check issued in Western Australia
  • Covid vaccinations (with booster, if eligible)
  • Previous experience in the health/disability sector or relevant qualifications are highly desirable but not essential
