Job Overview

This role focuses on maintaining high standards of occupational health, safety and security across our venues. Key responsibilities include supporting event and organisational security planning, contractor compliance monitoring, emergency preparedness implementation, and occupational health and safety systems in accordance with ISO45001 standards.

The role reports to the Head of Security and Safety and plays a vital part in providing a safe, compliant and secure environment for employees, contractors, clients and visitors, supporting the successful delivery of world-class events.

Predominantly operating from Melbourne for the first few months to undertake training and prepare documentation for the new venue, this role will be based in Geelong with frequent travel to Melbourne once open and operational.

About the Role

We seek an expert professional with knowledge in both security and safety industries, ideally in complex operational environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of OHS legislation and safety management systems (e.g., ISO45001), as well as experience in emergency management, incident investigation and hazard identification.

The successful applicant will also possess contract management skills and familiarity with security contractor performance management, along with extensive experience working engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels demonstrating strong communication skills.

About You

To be considered for this role, you must hold a Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Security Risk Management, or Public Safety and a Certificate IV in Security. You should also have formal qualification in Return to Work, High Risk Work and Risk Mitigation.
