Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking technical cyber security activities, conducting monitoring, investigation, and mitigation of security incidents, analysing security event data, performing incident response activities, responding to events and incidents using established Standard Operating Procedures, escalating complex incidents, and engaging with Subject Matter Experts.

This role requires strong technical competency in areas of cloud security, endpoint and network security, threat intelligence and hunting, data loss prevention, vulnerability management, and incident response. The successful candidate will also be required to support and contribute to the protection of our systems, users, and data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting monitoring, investigation, and mitigation of security incidents
  • Analysing security event data and identifying suspicious/malicious activity
  • Performing incident response activities while under direction
  • Responding to events and incidents using established Standard Operating Procedures
  • Escalating complex incidents, and engaging with Subject Matter Experts
  • Researching new and evolving threats and vulnerabilities
  • Conducting log analysis and developing visualisation and reporting
  • Collaboration with Security Operations and IT engineers to implement security controls

Requirements:

  • Recent graduate with relevant cyber security qualifications, with 0-2 years' experience in CSOC roles
  • Demonstrated familiarity with log aggregation and Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) systems
  • Knowledge of the Information Security Manual (ISM) and cyber security concepts
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Incident Response Frameworks
  • Formal tertiary qualifications or industry certifications in a cyber security related field
