Key Duties and Accountabilities:

  • We provide valuation services autonomously, taking the initiative to undertake significant individual valuation commitments for statutory, State Land Asset Management, and client purposes.
  • Our team prepares comprehensive valuation reports and other documents resolving statutory grievances related to valuation activities, including preparing reports and attending conferences, preparing Land Court briefs, and appearing as expert witnesses in the Land Court.
  • We engage with clients and stakeholders regarding valuation issues when required, providing advice through written correspondence and verbal discussions.
  • Participating in developing business relationships enables us to provide services and identify opportunities within defined markets, including developing and maintaining client relationships and negotiating complex valuation issues and disputes.
  • Project priorities and workflows are implemented to ensure achievement of specific goals within set timeframes and recommend new initiatives meeting client needs, improving productivity, and allowing delivery of effective and efficient outcomes.
  • We are accountable for delivering consistent valuation services aligning to State Valuation Service (SVS) procedures and work instructions, in accordance with statutory requirements and instructions of all SVS clients.
  • Investigating, evaluating, and resolving allocated valuation and land administration issues, we provide expert advice and reports to clients on complex and/or contentious land-related issues.
  • Computer-based valuation activities are undertaken within SVS, enabling the delivery of effective and efficient outcomes and improved productivity.
  • Affordable travel arrangements will be made for those requiring travel away from the centre, involving extended periods outside of normal office hours or overnight accommodation if necessary.
