About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Officer. As a key member of our front-line team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for our members and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to all customers, both in person and over the telephone, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Cash Handling and POS: Apply sound cash handling principles and use of Point of Sale (POS) systems to ensure accurate and efficient transactions.
  • Membership Sales and Promotions: Provide customers with information about memberships and have the knowledge to sell memberships when a person joins or renews, promoting the centre's services and programs.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain good working relationships with customers, promoting and exercising good public relations at all times.
  • Centre Operations: Assist with the opening and closing of the centre in accordance with security and safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Positive Attitude: A positive, friendly, helpful, and energetic work style.
  • Technical Skills: Computer literacy, familiarity with software packages, and point of sale systems.
  • Industry Experience: Previous experience in the leisure industry is desirable, but not essential.
  • Certifications: Current First Aid Certificate (Workplace Level 2), Current CPR Certificate, Police Check, and Working with Children Check.
