About the Role
  • We seek a strategic thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills and excellent interpersonal abilities to spearhead sustainable projects and programs.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and implementing effective waste management strategies, projects, and activities.
  • They will also proactively undertake project work identified within relevant plans and policies, create and analyze reports, and resolve customer inquiries via various channels.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sustainable waste management strategies, projects, programs, and activities
  • Conduct project work as outlined in relevant plans and policies
  • Create, administer, and analyze reports
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, online, and face-to-face interactions
  • Collaborate on joint projects, programs, and events with local, regional, and state entities
  • Assist in planning and delivering educational programs, events, and projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the waste management industry
  • Local government experience in a similar role is desirable
  • A valid Class C driver's license in NSW
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • A self-motivated individual capable of developing practical solutions while applying project management principles and waste policy knowledge
