The Parklife Metro Consortium is working on an exciting new metro rail infrastructure project in Greater Western Sydney.

This city-shaping project, delivered under a Public Private Partnership, will provide a major economic stimulus for Western Sydney.

WeBuild, as a D&C Contractor member, will be responsible for the successful delivery of the design and construction elements of the project. We are currently looking to appoint a Sustainability Coordinator based on the construction site.

About the Role

We are seeking a Construction Sustainability Coordinator to support the project team in achieving sustainable outcomes by understanding sustainability obligations, implementing initiatives, and meeting sustainability objectives.

Accountabilities

  • Provide advice on sustainability requirements to design, construction, commercial, operational, and other project teams.
  • Track and monitor progress of sustainability rating submissions.
  • Compile sustainability rating submissions.
  • Monitor sustainability reporting requirements and report on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to stakeholders.
  • Support development and management of environmental & sustainability management systems.
  • Manage environment & sustainability consultants.
  • Conduct environmental & sustainability field monitoring and inspections.
  • Identify and initiate local sustainability improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate improvements to management processes.
  • Report on sustainability performance and compliance.
  • Support project induction and environmental management training.
  • Promote a positive environmental & sustainability culture.
  • Adhere to project policies, procedures, and safety legislation.
  • Stay current with relevant policies, legislation, standards, and innovations.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree in sustainability, engineering, environmental engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience working on construction sites.
  • Experience delivering sustainability management plans and targets.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a similar role within construction.
  • ISAP and/or GSAP certification; experience with Infrastructure Sustainability (IS) and Green Star Ratings preferred.

Salary: $75K - $85K/year (negotiable)
