Senior Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in delivering child-centered healthcare within an advanced clinical role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive health assessments, initiate and interpret diagnostic investigations, diagnose, prescribe pharmacological and non-pharmacological agents/therapies, and discuss/referral to medical specialists and other health professionals.
  • Clinically manage patients requiring hospital admission or discharge in the clinic or community setting.
  • Emphasize health promotion and disease prevention.
  • Draw on professional competency and capability to improve clinical service outcomes through research and quality improvement activities.
  • Provide education and support to other clinicians to facilitate ongoing development of clinical practice.
Requirements:
  • A current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • A minimum of 2 years post-registration experience in a similar role or a relevant field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in an advanced and extended clinical role.
  • Knowledge of child and adolescent mental health and developmental disorders.
Additional Information:
  • Applicants must meet NSW Health's vaccination and screening requirements before starting employment.
  • This position requires a Working with Children Check (WWCC) issued by the Office of the Children's Guardian.
