Develop Your Expertise in Advanced Haematology

The role of a Post Graduate Fellow involves providing additional training to develop subspecialty interests in Haematology (CAR-T), and further developing core clinical skills required in this area.

Job Description

This program provides a comprehensive framework for the development of subspecialty interests in Haematology (CAR-T) through advanced training and mentorship.

The Post Graduate Fellow will have completed advanced training to become a specialist medical practitioner in Haematology, with recognised qualifications in Haematology and/or other equivalent specialist recognition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high quality clinical care, diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Haematology at the level of a Post Graduate Fellow
  • Participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Haematology Department as required
  • Oversee multidisciplinary management of patients in clinical trials and receiving novel T cell engaging therapies
  • Enrich patient care through improved patient education and enhanced screening for patients to access novel therapies on clinical trials
  • Assist preparation of the CAR-T Clinical trials and Haematology unit for FACT accreditation

Requirements:

  • Registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) with recognised qualifications in Haematology and/or other equivalent specialist recognition
