This role involves the management of complex deployments for mobile telecommunications systems within tunnel-based rail environments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating design, managing subcontractors, ensuring compliance with rail safety regulations and verifying system performance through testing and validation.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with preparation of design documentation, including work packs and method statements.
- Conduct site surveys in tunnels and rail stations to assess installation feasibility and plan accordingly.
- Oversee the installation and integration of critical components such as NodeB, RNC, and transmission equipment.
- Manage relationships with subcontractors to ensure safe, compliant and on-time execution of tasks.
- Coordinate commissioning, RF testing (EMC, PIM, return-loss), and final handover of deployed systems.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to align project objectives with operational constraints.
- Track project milestones, identify and report potential risks and support documentation transfer to operations teams.
This specialist will join a high-performing ICT team responsible for delivering telecommunications systems in challenging rail environments.
