Role: Telecommunication Project Engineer. Initial 6-month contract with a global Telecom client.
Location: Perth, Western Australia, Australia.
Responsibilities- Responsible for Telecom or Infrastructure according to specialty/expertise required within own area or across field organization.
- Installation knowledge and understanding of 3G/4G multi-vendor site builds.
- Responsible for installing, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting LTE Network in Rail environments.
- Lead, train, and support 3rd party contractors for installing, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting LTE Network in Rail environments.
- Ensure performance levels to SLA/OLA applicable in own area.
- Site testing and acceptance based on test procedures and test plans.
- Support acceptance of Network & Sites in own area.
- Support escalated deployment matters in own area.
- Support outage and general investigations for reporting purposes.
- Support liaison with deployments subcontractors & 3rd parties in own area.
- Undertake special assignments to resolve Network Operations issues.
- Hands-on experience in NOKIA 3G or 4G or LTE mobile network roll-outs.
- Understanding of NOKIA site and delivery processes.
- Ability to work independently and cooperate with subcontractors.
- Travel within Australia may be required.
- Education: Engineer or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering or similar.
