SYSTRA, one of the world's leading engineering and consultancy groups specialising in public transport and sustainable mobility, is seeking a highly skilled professional to fill a vital role within our Rail Systems team.
Job Overview- This position plays a crucial part in designing safe and sustainable transport solutions to bring people together, develop social inclusion, and facilitate access to employment, education, and leisure worldwide.
- The successful candidate will lead the planning, execution, and technical review of complex railway telecommunications projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards.
- Deliver high-quality telecommunications solutions that support railway mission-critical and business-critical applications, tailored to specific client needs.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including engineering, commercial, contract management, procurement, scheduling, and planning to ensure successful project delivery.
- Maintain a strong focus on innovation, client satisfaction, and project efficiency, contributing to the development of long-term client relationships and supporting project profitability.
- Oversee and review technical documentation, designs, and reports to ensure compliance with industry best practices and project specifications.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, sharing knowledge on telecommunications technologies relevant to the rail sector, including IP/MPLS and 3GPP (4G/5G) networks.
- Engage with clients, stakeholders, and equipment suppliers to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and addressed.
- Ensure all project deliverables meet statutory, regulatory, and safety standards, reflecting SYSTRA's commitment to quality and excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience in consulting, with a strong background in railway telecommunications.
- Direct experience with IP/MPLS and 5G equipment from major suppliers is highly valued.
- Proven expertise in the deployment of 3GPP networks (4G, 5G) and IP/MPLS solutions within a railway environment is highly advantageous.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality, client-focused solutions within project timeframes and budgets.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
- Familiarity with industry regulations, statutory requirements, and safety standards within the rail sector.
